Over the last couple of years we have had 2 trips to Bangkok. I'm not sure if I love it, but I definitely do not hate it!!!

Both times we stayed at the Century Park Hotel in a junior suite. (We were lucky enough to be upgraded both times, they always have a deal if you stay 4 or more nights you will be upgraded to the junior suite).

First trip we went with friends (ex army) and second trip with my sister Angie and her husband Brett (also ex army) so we had to do a lot of the same things again as they had not been to Bangkok before.

We had a shocking experience with a tour operator on our second visit to the Death railway, Hell Fire Pass and Weary Dunlop Museum etc which I have covered separately in Things To Do - The Tour From Hell.

We  also had lots of funny things happy to us in Bangkok, like the Psycho Taxi Driver who liked driving at 140 kilometers an hour.  That report will be under Transport - Taxi's.

Bangkok covers an area of more than 1,600 square kilometers and is home to approximately ten million people.

Bangkok is a modern, exciting city but there are also many cultural attractions.
Bangkok offers visitors the opportunity to experience a fascinating glimpse of Thailand's gentle culture among the bustle of a great city.

This city has been very successful in marrying together the ancient and modern world.
For tourists Bangkok has much to offer.
The city is dotted with 400 Buddhist temples, magnificent palaces, classical dance performances, numerous shopping centers with the Chao Phraya River winding its way through the city.

We will definitely go back to Bangkok again one day as we have only just scratched the surface.
